My stay at The Clarendon was quite mixed. The views were simply stunning and the staff really tried their best, though they seemed a bit understaffed at times. While my first room had some noise issues due to external air conditioning, the team managed to move me to a more comfortable room. However, the location was a bit of a letdown as there weren’t many dining options within walking distance.

I experienced two different rooms during my stay. my first was noisy due to external air conditioning. Thankfully, I was moved to a room that was much quieter and offered fabulous views. Overall, the rooms were large and comfortable, though some felt a bit dated.

The staff were exceptionally kind and genuine. Sarnia, in particular, was an amazing hostess who made me feel at home. However, I did notice that they were quite busy and at times seemed stretched thin.
Location

While the hotel is close to the beach and has wonderful views, it’s located in a more residential area. There weren't many restaurants or bars nearby, which made it difficult to enjoy leisurely evening strolls. I found myself wishing I had chosen a more central spot.
Dining

The breakfast was quite delicious with a great variety. but my experience with dinner was disappointing when I found out that the kitchen closed early. I had to order takeout instead, which felt odd for a hotel of this caliber.
Facilities

The facilities included room service and a welcome drink which were nice touches. however, I encountered a cockroach in the bathroom, which was unexpected in a place of this standard.

My week at The Clarendon in Bantry Bay was marked by amazing views and warm hospitality from the dedicated staff. The room size and upscale amenities were impressive, but I faced some challenges with the initial suite allocation. Ultimately, I appreciated the hotel's willingness to accommodate my requests and enhance my experience.

Rooms

The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious, with sliding glass doors leading to private balconies that boast fantastic views over the ocean. However, the initial allocation to a ground floor pool suite with limited views was disappointing. Once I moved to a top floor suite, everything was perfect! 🌊

I had a lovely stay at The Clarendon in Bantry Bay, with amazing views and fantastic service from the staff. The breakfasts were nice, served in a dining area that offers a stunning ocean backdrop. While the overall experience was wonderful, there were a couple of hiccups, such as the kitchen closing early one evening and a minor cleanliness issue in the bathroom. Overall, I would recommend this place for its charm and comfort.

The Clarendon - Bantry Bay is a charming boutique hotel with stunning ocean views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. While I had some initial hiccups with room assignment and noise early in the morning, the overall experience was good, thanks to the attentive staff. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious, but I did find the dinner service a bit lacking. I'd gladly return for the views and really good service.
